Meowww?

Ever had a cat that didn't wake you up to be fed in the morning? Lucky you.

(If I stole this video from your blog, please let me know so I can say thanks and link to you. I haven't the foggiest idea where I first saw it...)

  1. I wish I could see this video. Heck, I wish my cat (the more evil one of the two) didn't wake me up at 4:30 each morning by knocking things off the bedside table, one at a time, or by pawing my eyebrows.

Have a great Thanksgiving. And then, bah humbug, it's the dreaded season of the "Holidays." Do you think I'd alienate siblings and parents if I suggested leaving gift-giving just for the young 'uns?

  2. I checked the video, works OK for me, but if you can't see it here you should search for "wake up cat Tofield" on YouTube. Tofield is the name of the animator; "wake up cat" speaks for itself.

And if your evil kitty paws your eyebrows, you will really appreciate the video.

  3. And: I think it's a *great* idea to leave gift giving just for the young ones.

Happy Thanksgiving to you too, C&V :).

  4. Oh, this made me laugh! We DO have a puppy and he likes to put his paws up on my bed and lick my face. This launches me RIGHT UP. Ugh. DOG breath is almost as bad as human breath in the morning....

  5. My 'puter must have some block on it as a Pop up, so I went to YouTube. Egads, it's a species trait! Too funny - and too realistic ;-).

Did you ever see the Sylvia cartoon (in the Globe) about the cat that goes from pitching lip gloss off the bathroom counter t o threatening to toss the TV out the window if the owner doesn't feed her by 5:12 a.m.? And then sits Buddha-like by her dish? Yeah, that's why we love 'em, right?

Pies are baked (note to self: even though the new Pillsbury roll-out crusts don't include it in the directions, remember to rub a little flour in the pie pan before filling), make-ahead mashed potatoes are made ahead, and now all the good children just wait for the Great Turkey to come and leave peas and onions in their shoes... oh wait, wrong holiday.

    Have a good one!

  7. I think limiting the annual gift giving debacle to the children is a great idea, but before I talk myself out of a new rugby shirt...they would have to reciprocate, right?
